Brace yourselves, Shinken 1.4 is coming
Hi everyone, As the remaining blocking github tickets are quite solved now, it’s time to get the first release candidate version for Shinken 1.4. This new version fix some bugs and add new features: on the WebUI (with some new custom view for linux based hosts) and add new capabilities for brokers that can now be specialized (one will be for putting perfdata in Graphite, another will be for the WebUI for example), and also get N levels brokers too (one for the world AND some others in each countries). Hi all, As the 1.4 version nears, with great new features, we can take time to look back at the code activity since its inception (late 2009). Hi all, If you’ve followed the project since the beginning, you know that the Shinken mascot has a long, long history. First we started with a black samurai that is still available on the wiki header. Then we got a more color full samurai, available on the website project page, but it’s not as cool as it can be for such a project. Hi all, A new bug fix version will soon be available, 1,2,3 1.2.4. You can have a look at the full Changelog. A major bug will no longer bite us : the “notification tempest”. When an item would come back after a downtime or a long period where the daemons were off, users would get a large numbers of notifications.
